NearsLab Unveils Multipurpose Compact Autonomous Flying Drone at CES
'AIDrone' First Unveiled... From Public Safety to National Defense
AI autonomous flight drone startup NearsLab announced on the 9th (local time) that it participated in 'CES 2024,' the world's largest consumer ICT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, and unveiled its independently developed multipurpose small autonomous flight drone 'AIDrone' for the first time.
This drone is equipped with an optical and infrared camera capable of rotating up to 200 degrees and a laser rangefinder, enabling it to perform missions both day and night. It is also lightweight at 2 kg, making it easy to carry and suitable for short-range reconnaissance.
It also incorporates attitude control technology developed from safety inspections of wind turbines to withstand strong winds. It can perform missions even in environments with strong winds of up to 12 m/s. Through vision AI, it demonstrates stable performance not only in indoor or underground environments where GPS signals are difficult to detect but also in urban areas with severe GPS interference.
NearsLab explained that the AIDrone can perform short-range reconnaissance or surveillance missions in defense, quickly inspect fire or security scenes in social safety fields, and assist in resolving emergency situations.
