'Deserter,' a Film About Defected Soldiers, to Premiere in July
The film 'Talju' is set to be released in July, announced distributor Plus M Entertainment on the 10th.
The story depicts a life-or-death escape and chase between North Korean soldier Gyunam, who dreams of a life beyond the Demilitarized Zone, and Hyeonsang, a Security Department officer tasked with stopping him. Actor Lee Je-hoon plays a 10-year veteran North Korean sergeant dreaming of a new life in the South, while Koo Kyo-hwan portrays the North Korean Security Department officer pursuing him to prevent his escape.
