Shin Jeong-hoon: "I Will Become a Deep-Rooted Pine Tree Protecting the Region"
‘Finding the Future of the Republic of Korea in the Provinces’ Book Launch Successfully Held
Listening to Voices of City and County Residents in a Book Concert Format; Focus on Harmony with Disabled Persons
The publication celebration of Rep. Shin Jeong-hoon (The Democratic Party of Korea, Jeonnam Naju·Hwasun), titled "The Path Shin Jeong-hoon Has Walked, The Future to Open: Finding the Future of the Republic of Korea from the Provinces," was successfully concluded with the largest crowd ever since the opening of Sports Park.
On the afternoon of the 7th, Rep. Shin held a book concert-style publication celebration at the Naju Sports Park Multipurpose Gymnasium.
Key figures including Representatives Kim Min-seok, Kim Du-kwan, Kim Kyung-man, Kang Deuk-gu, Kim Ui-gyeom, and Lee Yong-bin, as well as Im Mi-ae, Chairwoman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Party Committee, former Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok, and Jeonnam Superintendent of Education Kim Dae-jung attended to brighten the event.
About 70 members of the National Assembly, including Party Leader Lee Jae-myung and Floor Leader Hong Ik-pyo, sent congratulatory messages and videos.
Starting with pre-event performances such as Gilnori Nongak and Taekwondo dance, the event was filled with a book concert and performances with citizens of the city and county. Along with invited panelists, Rep. Shin shared his life journey and future vision toward "a country where hope exists even in the provinces." In addition, heated discussions continued on various political issues such as the mismanagement and unilateral rule of the Yoon Seok-yeol prosecution government represented by Yoon Seok-yeol and Han Dong-hoon.
The focus was on enjoying together with the citizens of the city and county and listening to their voices. Local deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals were invited to promote harmony between people with and without disabilities.
Rep. Shin Jeong-hoon expressed, “I deeply thank the comrades and citizens of the city and county who have crossed the big and small hills together to change the world from the provinces,” adding, “I will continue to repay the trust and faith given to me through ‘politics that earns its keep’ and become a deeply rooted pine tree that protects the region.”
Meanwhile, the book published by Rep. Shin Jeong-hoon, "Finding the Future of the Republic of Korea from the Provinces," contains over 30 years of political journey to find the future of Korea from the provinces, including the 21st National Assembly activities, the movement to abolish the livestock tax, attracting the Naju Innovation City, and planning and opening of Korea Energy University.

The book is composed of four chapters: Chapter 1, "The 21st National Assembly, Boldly Challenging and Opening the Future"; Chapter 2, "Walking Along the River of Time and Memory"; Chapter 3, "The Era of Prosecution, The Country of Prosecution"; and Chapter 4, "Give Up the Established Interests of the Republic of Korea."
