2024 SME Support Program Comprehensive Briefing Session to be Held on the 11th
Support Policy for SMEs with a Budget of 14.9 Trillion KRW
Simultaneous Events at 13 Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Offices Nationwide
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that a comprehensive briefing session on support projects for SMEs and startups in 2024 will be held simultaneously on the 11th at 13 regional Small and Medium Business Administration offices nationwide. This year, the total budget of 14.9 trillion KRW covers all projects of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and including additional support such as interest subsidy and guarantees, it is expected to exceed 30 trillion KRW.
The comprehensive briefing session will be hosted simultaneously nationwide by the 13 regional Small and Medium Business Administration offices. This briefing will provide detailed explanations of support projects in major areas such as finance (loans and guarantees), technology development, startups, and exports, and will distribute guidebooks on SME and startup support projects. Representatives from project-executing organizations such as the Small and Medium Business Corporation, Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs, and Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development will directly explain the projects and hold Q&A sessions.
SME owners who cannot attend the event in person can listen to explanations of support policies in real time via YouTube, and questions posted in the comments during the viewing will be answered later.
For small business owners and self-employed individuals who find it difficult to attend the comprehensive briefing due to their livelihoods, on-site briefing sessions will also be held by each regional office. The program will be organized focusing on financial safety net strengthening policies for small business owners struggling with high interest rates and economic downturn.
