Pyeongtaek City Receives Institutional Commendation for Streamlining Agricultural Food Subsidies
Evaluation of Efficient Operation through Integrated Information System Development
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it received an institutional commendation from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs last year for its contribution to the efficiency of agricultural and food management subsidies and the improvement of project information.
The city explained that it developed the Pyeongtaek Agricultural Integrated Information System independently to streamline the implementation and post-management of subsidy projects, managing agricultural subsidies centered on farmers and consumers, which led to receiving the institutional commendation this time.
The system's advantage is that it improved the application process for farming materials for elderly farmers, allowing a one-stop application with a single form instead of complicated paperwork. Additionally, it prevents duplicate applications when applying for farming materials, achieving transparent agricultural subsidy operations by reducing fraudulent subsidy claims and improving project management.
