Since 2006, this volunteer group has visited nearby areas every vacation to conduct home repair volunteer activities (Eco Volunteer), focusing on repairing walls and windows to help neighbors stay warm during this colder winter compared to previous years.
Not only PKNU students but also staff from the facilities department participated to assist with specialized electrical work, while the Busan Nam-gu Office and Nam-gu Volunteer Center supported by recommending households for volunteering and providing garbage bags and waste collection.
This year, the volunteer group especially expanded community-based volunteer activities to include not only home repair but also living support services.
Medical staff from the school health clinic and nursing students joined the volunteer group to visit local elderly residents, checking blood pressure and blood sugar levels, providing health consultations, and supporting with supplies as part of medical support volunteer activities.
Additionally, the volunteer students delivered warm-hearted gifts including hand-knitted coasters made over the past four months through training received at Aloysio Base 1968, a local complex education and cultural institution, along with handmade scrubbers contributed by school staff.
