Hancom Acquires Electronic Document Company 'Clipsoft'
Hancom announced on the 5th that it has acquired Clipsoft, a company specializing in electronic documents. Clipsoft is an electronic document company that develops and supplies the reporting solution 'ClipReport' and electronic form solution 'ClipEform,' which visualize data based on standard HTML5 for institutions and companies in public, finance, hospitals, and education sectors.
The two companies plan to combine Hancom's document creation and data processing technologies with Clipsoft's data visualization and electronic form technologies. They aim to expand their business beyond the electronic document market to become a leading digital data company.
Hancom will also focus on strengthening its data management technology capabilities by securing Clipsoft's middleware product lineup. The company plans to integrate document engines with artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Clipsoft's data visualization features will be incorporated into 'Hancom Assistant,' the Korean version of Copilot, an AI-powered intelligent document creation tool.
Business collaboration among group affiliates will also be promoted. Hancom Carelink, specializing in genome analysis and digital healthcare, will introduce Clipsoft's data visualization technology into health checkup, genome, and microbiome analysis report services. Hancom Inspace, a space and aerospace specialized company, is expected to benefit significantly from reporting technology as it handles various data provided by satellites.
Hancom will also target the Japanese digital data market in partnership with Clipsoft. Since Kaidan Mobile, a Taiwanese company invested in and cooperating with Hancom, has already entered the Japanese market, they plan to establish a local office within January in cooperation with Kaidan Japan. The goal is to increase references in the Japanese market using this base.

Kim Yeon-su, CEO of Hancom, said, "The combination with Clipsoft will be a great strength as Hancom expands beyond the limits of complete application business into a technology modularization company through AI and software development kits (SDKs)." He added, "Since Clipsoft has a vision to leap forward as a digital transformation platform company rather than just remaining a software developer, we expect it to become a partner leading the digital data market together with Hancom."
