Received Calligraphy Artwork Donation Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Jeonnam National University Medical School Opening
Chonnam National University College of Medicine celebrated its 80th anniversary by receiving a commemorative artwork from a renowned calligrapher.
On the afternoon of the 28th of last month, Chonnam National University College of Medicine and the 80th Anniversary Commemoration Committee announced on the 4th that they had received a piece titled "Jeonnam Uidae" (Chonnam Medical School) from Chwijung Kim Chunsik, a representative calligrapher of Honam, at the faculty meeting room of the College of Medicine in Hakdong, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The calligraphy will be used as the symbolic lettering for the slogan "80 Years of Medical Education, 100 Years of New Leap, Chonnam Medical School."
Calligrapher Chwijung Im Chunsik is recognized for pioneering a new artistic world by reinterpreting calligraphy in a painterly style and developing his own unique script.
