Mapo-gu Holds '2024 New Year's Greeting Event'
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) held the '2024 New Year's Greeting Meeting' at Catertle in Sinsu-dong on the afternoon of the 3rd to mark the Year of Gapjin 2024, taking a strong step forward to achieve tangible results that residents can feel based on the foundation laid for a 'New Mapo, Better Mapo.'
About 3,200 guests attended the New Year's Greeting Meeting, including Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, local members of the National Assembly, party committee chairpersons, city and district council members, and resident representatives, brightening the event.
The New Year's Greeting Meeting opened with a Mapo tourism promotional video, followed by a beautiful congratulatory performance by the Sungmoon Middle School orchestra and a viewing of residents' New Year wishes video.
Afterwards, Mayor Park Gang-su and the guests expressed their gratitude to the residents with New Year's bows, followed by a New Year's address pledging to create a better Mapo.
In his New Year's address, Mayor Park Gang-su said, "Since the start of the 8th elected administration, we have set goals for the district such as integrity, improving practices, handling civil complaints, welfare, and revitalizing community sports, and have worked tirelessly every day." He added, "In 2024, Mapo-gu will continue unwaveringly to complete the era of happiness for Mapo residents."
