SK E&S President Choo Hyung-wook's New Year's Address: "Strengthening Synergy of Four Core Businesses"
SK E&S announced in its 2024 New Year's address that it will strengthen the fundamental competitiveness of all its businesses by enhancing complementary synergies among its four core businesses, aiming to leap forward as a global top-tier green energy company.
On the 2nd, Choo Hyung-wook, CEO of SK E&S, stated in the New Year's address, “SK E&S has the boldness and DNA of success that has turned numerous crises into opportunities. Therefore, all members must unite tightly to make 2024 a successful year that brings us one step closer to becoming a SUPEX Company.”
Reflecting on the past year, CEO Choo said, “Based on a stable financial structure, we made growth investments to build a green portfolio, strengthening the competitiveness of existing businesses and achieving meaningful milestones in new businesses. It was also a year in which we gained internal and external recognition for company development and a healthy corporate culture through board-centered management and enhancing employee happiness.”
He emphasized, “In 2024, we must continuously innovate and optimize our business models, and enhance the organic linkage and complementary synergies among the four major businesses (LNG, hydrogen, renewable energy, and energy solutions) to improve the fundamental competitiveness of all businesses.”
He added, “Based on a stable financial structure and the boldness of our members, we must produce visible results in transitioning to a green portfolio and global expansion,” and also mentioned “advancing data-driven management systems and enhancing employee capabilities.”
CEO Choo also urged, “Let us continue efforts for the ‘happiness of stakeholders,’ including securing customer trust, virtuous cooperation with business partners and small and venture companies, and contributing to local communities, thereby spreading SK E&S’s social value.”
