Four-Vehicle Collision Near Miryang Sanwoe2 Tunnel... 5 Injured Including Teenage Boy
A four-vehicle collision occurred on the Gyeongnam Hamyang~Ulsan Expressway.

At around 5:43 PM on the 1st, a four-vehicle collision occurred on the Hamyang side of the Hamyang-Ulsan Expressway in Sanoe-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam, resulting in one death and four injuries.
According to the Miryang Police Station and Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters on the 2nd, at the 100.8 km mark near the Sanoe 2 Tunnel, a 4.5-ton truck rear-ended a compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) that was stopped due to traffic congestion.
As a result of the collision, a 1-ton truck and a mid-large sports utility vehicle behind the compact SUV also crashed into each other consecutively.
The accident injured a woman in her 40s driving the compact SUV and a teenage female passenger, while a teenage male passenger died.
The two drivers in their 40s of the truck and the mid-large SUV sustained minor injuries.
It was investigated that the 4.5-ton truck driver was neither intoxicated nor unlicensed at the time.
Immediately after the accident, dozens of nearby citizens rushed to assist in rescuing the injured.
The police plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident based on the truck driver's statement indicating drowsy driving.
