Silla University Lifelong Education Center Holds Graduation Ceremony for the 23rd Silla Seniors Academy
Silla University (President Heo Nam-sik) Lifelong Education Center held a completion ceremony for the "23rd Silla Seniors Academy" aimed at entering a healthy aging society.
On the 28th, the completion ceremony for the "23rd Silla Seniors Academy" was held at the Ye-eum Hall auditorium of Silla University, attended by Kang Kyung-tae, Director of the Lifelong Education Center, and key officials.
The "Silla Seniors Academy" project has been operated by Silla University under the commission of Busan City since 2010 to establish a healthy senior culture based on building bonds among Busan citizens aged 60 and over.
The "Silla Seniors Academy," which has operated 23 classes, has produced 1,121 graduates and actively carries out various volunteer activities and community engagements such as the Hope Sharing Campaign and helping neighbors in need.
A graduate of the "Silla Seniors Academy" said, "The Silla Seniors Academy has become a new starting point to begin a second life," adding, "I will actively participate in community activities using what I learned at the Silla Seniors Academy as a foundation."
