Partial Restrictions Imposed on Sunrise Viewing Spots in Gijang-gun, Busan for New Year's Day

During the New Year's sunrise event, a popular sunrise spot in Gijang-gun, Busan will be partially restricted.
Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) announced on the 29th that some sections of the local sunrise spots will be restricted to prevent safety accidents for visitors.
The restricted area is a part of the coastal road from Haedong Yonggungsa Temple to the National Institute of Fisheries Science. It is approximately a 350-meter section from the passage to Jijangam within Haedong Yonggungsa Temple to the retaining wall of the National Institute of Fisheries Science.
The restriction will be in effect for about four hours from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on January 1, 2024, with personnel from the Gijang Police Station and Gijang-gun staff deployed to control access to the area.

A Gijang-gun official stated, “We will closely cooperate with related organizations such as the Gijang Police Station, Gijang Fire Station, and Ulsan Coast Guard to ensure immediate on-site response in case of any safety incidents.”
