Changwon Special City Awards Commendations to Contributors of Masan Chrysanthemum Festival ... Diligent Performance of Duties
On the 28th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held an awards ceremony to honor contributors to the 23rd Masan Chrysanthemum Festival.
The awards were established to express gratitude and boost pride and morale among those who diligently performed their duties during the 23rd Masan Chrysanthemum Festival, significantly contributing to the festival's successful execution.
Thirty-three individuals, including Kim Yong-beom, chairman of the Masan Chrysanthemum Festival Committee which organized the festival, Kang Young-im, president of the Changwon Volunteer Organizations Council who guided visitors at the festival site, as well as public officials, related organizations, and citizens who worked hard in various fields such as traffic and safety management around the festival site, environmental maintenance, and crackdowns on illegal street vendors, were honored with awards.
Jo Myung-rae, the 2nd Deputy Mayor, stated, “Thanks to those who quietly worked hard to ensure the safety and convenience of visitors to the festival, this year’s Masan Chrysanthemum Festival was able to conclude successfully. The 23rd Masan Chrysanthemum Festival attracted approximately 700,000 visitors over 10 days from October 28 to November 6. During the festival period, Changwon City deployed about 3,000 personnel, including public officials, exemplary drivers’ associations, and volunteers, to manage traffic, guide visitors, and maintain the environment.
