NIS Employee Caught Drunk Driving... Crashes into Ministry of National Defense Barrier
An active employee of the National Intelligence Service was arrested by the police on suspicion of causing an accident while driving under the influence.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced on the 28th that they have booked a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act and plan to investigate him.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of driving his vehicle after drinking alcohol around 12:30 a.m. the previous day and crashing into the barrier at the entrance of the Ministry of National Defense's west gate.
At the time of detection, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at the license cancellation level (0.08% or higher).
