The Jangseong Police Station in Jeollanam-do (Chief Jeon Byeong-hyeon) announced on the 27th that on the 26th, they conducted a joint crackdown on drunk driving involving exemplary drivers' association and autonomous crime prevention squads, who are security partners, to prevent the spread of drunk driving during the year-end and New Year season.

This joint crackdown on drunk driving was carried out ahead of the year-end and New Year season, when drinking gatherings are frequent, to create an atmosphere of eradicating drunk driving through a strong intensive crackdown system and to foster a social atmosphere that "drunk driving will definitely be cracked down on," aiming to prevent traffic accidents and promote a safe traffic culture.
In particular, the year-end and New Year drunk driving intensive crackdown will be conducted continuously around entertainment districts, restaurants, and major traffic accident risk areas to raise awareness that crackdowns are conducted regardless of day or night.
Chief Jeon Byeong-hyeon said, "To raise awareness of drunk driving, which can become lax due to the year-end and New Year atmosphere, we will continuously conduct drunk driving crackdowns in cooperation with security partners and strive to create a safe traffic culture."
