Police Request Arrest Warrant for Doctor Prescribing Drugs for 'Apgujeong Rolls-Royce'
Pretrial Detention Hearing on the Morning of the 27th
The police have reportedly filed an arrest warrant request for a doctor in his 40s suspected of prescribing narcotic drugs to the driver of the 'Apgujeong Rolls-Royce.'
The Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 26th that they had requested an arrest warrant last week for the suspect, Yeom Mo, on charges including violation of the Narcotics Control Act and unlicensed medical practice.
According to the police, Yeom is suspected of prescribing narcotics such as propofol for non-work-related purposes to a woman in her 20s, Shin Mo, at his clinic on August 2. After the prescription, Shin was investigated for driving a Rolls-Royce in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul, and crashing into a sidewalk. The police suspect that Yeom falsified Shin's medical records at the time and deleted the records after the accident occurred.
Yeom is also accused of sexually assaulting more than 10 women under sedation from January last year to October this year and illegally filming the acts. Additionally, Yeom is suspected of performing medical procedures at another hospital in Seoul in October despite having his medical license suspended.
