Pukyong National University Hosts 'University Student Trade Support Group Performance Report Conference'
Active Online Marketing and Export Consulting for Local Companies
National Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-su) announced that the Department of International Trade and the Youth Trade Expert Training Project Group, together with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, held the ‘2023 University Student Trade Support Group Performance Report Conference’ on the 21st at Lotte Hotel Busan.
The Department of International Trade at Pukyong National University and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency held this event while operating the 2nd YTP Project Group from this year, following the 1st YTP Project Group last year, aiming to train trade experts responding to the needs of the local community.
About 20 students from the Department of International Trade participating in the YTP Project Group carried out activities as the Busan area university student trade support group together with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, supporting online marketing and export consulting activities for 18 local companies.
The performance report conference was attended by Kim Jae-gap, Director of the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Bae Jun-young, Vice Dean of the College of Business Administration at National Pukyong National University, YTP Project advisors and participating students from the Department of International Trade, and representatives of partner companies of the trade support group.
On the day, under the moderation of Professor Lee Dong-joo of the Department of International Trade at National Pukyong National University, Director Kim Jae-gap of the Busan Economic Promotion Agency gave a congratulatory speech and personally awarded certificates of completion to the trade support group members. Following this, in the performance report presentation, Professor Yoo Jung-ho of the Department of International Trade at National Pukyong National University gave a comprehensive report on the 2023 YTP Project Group’s achievements, and student representatives presented the achievements of each trade support group team.
With the recent selection of the Department of International Trade at National Pukyong National University for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s Regional Specialized Youth Trade Expert Training Project (GTEP), from 2024, the YTP project will be developed into the PKNU YTP GTEP project, expanding export marketing, e-commerce export-import activities, and domestic and overseas field training.

Professor Ahn Tae-geon, head of the PKNU YTP GTEP Project Group, said, “To advance Busan as a global hub city, we will collaborate with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and strive to make this project a representative industry-academia project in the Busan region.”
