Shocks by Following Pamela Anderson's 'No Makeup' Trend
"We Must Escape the Pressure to Look Young"
"Women need to break free from the pressure to look young."
A female host on a Spanish TV program removed her makeup live on air and said that women need to break free from the pressure to look young.
According to the French women's magazine Madame Figaro on the 22nd (local time), Spanish actress and TV host Sonya Ferrer suddenly began wiping off her makeup with a wet wipe while talking about actress Pamela Anderson attending the UK's 'Fashion Awards 2023' with a bare face on the 4th.

In the video, Ferrer starts removing eye makeup such as eyeshadow and mascara, saying, "We really look different without makeup."
She continued, "We change a lot. This is reality," adding, "I am 46, not 26. Time passes for everyone, but at the same time, it sometimes feels like nothing happens," criticizing people who post photos looking younger using various filters on social media or undergo plastic surgery.
Ferrer said, "Through this act, I want people to accept themselves so they can feel naturalness and satisfaction without embellishment."
After the broadcast, she posted on her social media, "Pamela Anderson said that walking the red carpet with a bare face and pursuing eternal youth is impossible and exhausting," adding, "There is no longer anything to be ashamed of. I love myself now much more than I did 20 years ago."
Many comments applauded Ferrer’s boldness on her post.
The star Pamela Anderson, mentioned earlier by Ferrer, attended the Fashion Awards event held in the UK this month with a bare face, following her appearance at Paris Fashion Week in September.

After attending Paris Fashion Week, Anderson said in an interview with Vogue magazine, "It's simply for all girls," adding, "In times like these, who even knows what a face really looks like?"
Anderson decided to go no-makeup after Alexis Vogel, who was responsible for her makeup, passed away battling breast cancer in 2019. Anderson explained, "Vogel was the best. I felt it was better not to wear makeup without her," revealing the reason she stopped wearing makeup.
She also said she is not against makeup. She added, "I noticed everyone was wearing heavy makeup," and "I just did the exact opposite of everyone else."
Following Anderson’s 'no-makeup' move, fellow actress Jamie Lee Curtis supported her, saying, "The revolution of natural beauty has officially begun."
