Gwangju Seo-gu to Hold 'Year-End Concert' at Seobitmaru Cultural Center on the 22nd

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) will hold the ‘Adieu 2023, Year-end Concert THANK YOU’ at 7 p.m. on the 22nd at Seobitmaru Cultural Center.

According to Seo-gu on the 21st, the gratitude concert, held for the first time this year, invites about 300 residents who cooperated for the development of Seo-gu in various fields such as local welfare, resident autonomy, and village activities throughout the year, to express appreciation for their dedication and hard work.

In particular, this stage will feature once again the Ballad Emperor Byun Jinseop, Phantom Singer alumnus Kwak Donghyun, Chosun Panstar winner Kim Sanok, and popera group Redis, who showcased high-quality cultural and artistic performances at Seo-gu’s New Spring Healing Concert, Fall in Love Autumn Concert, and Seochang Silver Grass Festival this year, with the theme of the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

The spring theme begins with Redis’s ‘One Spring Day, Rose, Peony, Camellia, First Love,’ and the summer theme continues with Kwak Donghyun’s performances of ‘Sunlight, I Was Born to Love You, Highway Romance.’

The autumn theme features Gwangju’s traditional singer Kim Sanok singing ‘Beautiful Country, Swallow’s Journey, Beautiful Rivers and Mountains,’ and the winter theme is filled with Byun Jinseop’s popular songs such as ‘The Only Thing I Can Give You Is Love, Hope, To You Again.’

Seo-gu Mayor Kim Ikang said, “The trust in Seo-gu that arose from on-site communication this year was thanks to residents filling in places untouched by administrative hands with sharing and cooperation. I hope this gratitude concert will be a meaningful time to look back on the spring, summer, autumn, and winter of 2023, wrap up the year, and start anew.
