Hwaseong Scholarship and Culture Foundation Donates 50 Million Won in Scholarships... "Please Nurture Global Talents"
The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kang Eun-hee) announced on the 21st that the Hwaseong Scholarship and Culture Foundation donated 50 million KRW in scholarships to the Daegu Talent Development Scholarship Foundation.
The Hwaseong Scholarship and Culture Foundation (Chairman Lee In-jung) was established in December 1993 with the purpose of "returning corporate profits to society" and has been participating in educational support activities through various projects such as scholarship payments, musical instrument donations, sharing education support, and donation of humanities books.
From 2016 to 2018, the foundation donated 50 million KRW annually in humanities book donations to the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, and from 2019 to 2021, it donated 50 million KRW each year to the Daegu Talent Development Scholarship Foundation to support native speaker online English classes aimed at strengthening the global employment capabilities of specialized high school students in the Daegu area.
Chairman Lee In-jung said, "I hope that students in the Daegu region will grow into global talents, and I will continue to take an interest and support them."
