The Seobu Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 21st that it is implementing winter fire safety measures in preparation for Christmas and the year-end and New Year holidays.
The fire station plans to eliminate risk factors in fire-vulnerable facilities in advance and enhance the safety awareness of related personnel through the establishment and implementation of fire safety measures.
The main measures include ▲fire prevention meetings and on-site guidance led by the fire station chief ▲special vigilance duty during fire-vulnerable periods ▲fire safety inspections of fire-vulnerable facilities ▲consulting for voluntary safety facility inspections ▲and visiting fire safety education.
In particular, special vigilance duty will be carried out twice: from December 22 to 26, which includes Christmas, and from December 29 to January 2, covering the year-end and New Year period.
During the special vigilance duty periods, the fire station plans to focus all efforts on preventing large-scale fires and minimizing casualties by operating a thorough on-site response system.
