CGV to Broadcast Live Matches of Qatar Asian Cup National Team
Next Month's 15th: Bahrain Match and More
CGV announced on the 21st that it will broadcast live the Asian Cup opening in Qatar on the 12th of next month. The confirmed matches are South Korea's games against Bahrain on the 15th, Jordan on the 20th, and Malaysia on the 25th of next month (all at 8:30 PM). If the team advances to the tournament, those matches will also be broadcast live. Lee Jung-guk, head of CGV Icecon Business Team, introduced, "You can vividly feel the heat of Qatar through the large screen and vivid sound in the theater."

CGV has broadcast the World Cup live five times from Germany in 2006 to Qatar in 2022. It also presented the 2019 U-20 World Cup final. This is the first time for live broadcasting the Asian Cup. The national team, including Son Heung-min, Kim Min-jae, and Hwang Hee-chan, is challenging for the championship for the first time in 64 years.
