Recruitment for Gyeonggi-do Dormitory Residents for Next Year Open Until January 26
‘Gyeonggi-do Dormitory,’ a public dormitory for university students and youth in Gyeonggi-do, will recruit regular residents for next year from December 26 this year to January 26 next year.
The Gyeonggi-do Dormitory is located in Seodun-dong, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, with a total capacity of 278 people, consisting of 91 triple rooms and 5 single rooms. The number of regular residents to be recruited will be decided after the selection of returning residents is confirmed.
Eligibility for application requires that, as of the announcement date, the applicant’s registered address has been in Gyeonggi-do for at least one year, or the total period of residence registered in Gyeonggi-do before the announcement date is 10 years or more, and the applicant must be a university student or youth.
Applications can be submitted online through the Gyeonggi-do Dormitory website. University students are selected based on income criteria (100 points) and additional points (if applicable), while youth are selected based on income (30 points), independence plan (20 points), and interview (50 points).
The selection schedule includes document screening (January 29 to February 1 next year) and interviews (February 6), with the final candidates announced on the 13th of the same month.
Selected residents can live in the dormitory for one year from February 23 next year to February 10, 2025. The deposit is 200,000 KRW, and by paying a monthly fee of 200,000 KRW, residents can receive support for living, including breakfast and dinner.
