Suncheonmiin Call Launches 'Taxi Mileage' Service
Earn 5% Rewards on Charges When Using Auto Payment
Suncheon City in Jeollanam-do announced that starting from the 20th, it will pilot the ‘Suncheon Miin Call Taxi Mileage’ service in collaboration with Suncheon Miin Call and Inavi M Co., Ltd. to provide affordable and convenient call taxi services.
The ‘Suncheon Miin Call Taxi Mileage’ service applies only to passengers using automatic payment, allowing them to accumulate points from a portion of their taxi fare, which can then be used to pay for future fares.
Before the official launch of the service on January 1, 2024, the city plans to pilot the program during the Christmas and year-end periods when taxi usage increases, aiming to secure users.
To use the service, search for the mobile apps ‘Suncheon Miin Call’ or ‘Inavi M’. After downloading the app and using automatic payment, users can accumulate 5% of the fare (up to 500 points).
Meanwhile, the advanced branded taxi ‘Miin Call’, equipped with a control system and introduced by Suncheon City in October 2010 as the first in the province, allows the city hall to check the taxi’s location and passenger boarding status. The taxi’s vehicle number and phone number are automatically entered into the passenger’s mobile phone, enhancing safety and enabling passengers to use taxis with peace of mind. Lost items can also be easily recovered.
A city official said, “We hope this service launch will ease the burden on citizens who use taxis even a little,” adding, “We also hope it will help alleviate the management difficulties faced by the local taxi industry after COVID-19.”
