After completing the first phase, they plan to accelerate the second phase, 'Connected-Predictive Optimized Shipyard,' by 2026, and the third phase, 'Intelligent Autonomous Operation Shipyard,' by 2030.
The core of the Visible Shipyard is the virtual shipyard 'Twin FOS,' which utilizes digital twin technology. Twin FOS is a digital platform that implements the shipyard as a 3D model in a virtual space, characterized by visualizing on-site information as digital data. Workers can check the status and information of the construction process in real time, improving work efficiency by reducing waiting times and duplicate tasks.
HD Hyundai has established a digital work instruction system for all processes before shipbuilding, centralizing management of production plans, attendance information, and safety guidelines, expecting to enhance productivity. An integrated monitoring system for major equipment and transport devices such as large cranes, transporters, and forklifts has also been built, allowing real-time confirmation of operational status.
HD Hyundai plans to complete the FOS project by 2030, aiming to improve productivity by 30% and shorten construction time by 30%.
