Uljin Jungang Nonghyup and Yeongdeok Ganggu Nonghyup Mutual Donations for Hometown Love Fund
Gyeongbuk Uljin-gun (Governor Son Byeong-bok) announced on the 15th that executives and employees of Uljin Central Nonghyup and Yeongdeok Ganggu Nonghyup made mutual hometown love donations to Uljin-gun and Yeongdeok-gun.
Uljin Central Nonghyup and Yeongdeok Ganggu Nonghyup conducted mutual donations through the Hometown Love Donation Fund.
View original imageTo ensure the stable establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System and to strengthen exchange and cooperation between the two regions, the executives and employees of the two Nonghyups each collected 100,000 KRW and donated a total of 3 million KRW. They also promised to promote each other's local agricultural specialties provided as return gifts.
Hwang Jae-gyu, chairman of Uljin Central Nonghyup, said, “I hope that the Hometown Love Donation System will be further revitalized through this mutual donation.”
Shin Sang-heon, chairman of Ganggu Nonghyup, said, “We will continue to strive for regional development and the welfare of residents as executives and employees of the Nonghyup.”
Governor Son Byeong-bok expressed gratitude for the voluntary donations of the two Nonghyup executives and employees, saying, “We will continue to work towards expanding sales channels for local agricultural products and revitalizing the local economy through the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System.”

The Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate to local governments (hometowns) other than their registered address. The local governments collect these donations and use them for residents' welfare. Donors receive tax deductions and return gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount.
