Gwangju Buk-gu 'Volunteer Honor Certification' Recognition
Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is set to honor the unsung heroes of community development, the volunteers.
The district will hold the 1st Buk-gu Volunteer V-Awards Honor Certification Ceremony at the Sihwa Cultural Village Cultural Center on the 20th.
The prestigious award will be given to 81 volunteers affiliated with the Buk-gu Volunteer Center registered on the 1365 Volunteer Portal, who have dedicated more than 365 hours of volunteer work from December last year to November this year.
Among them, one top volunteer each in the categories of ‘Most Hours’ and ‘Most Occurrences’ will receive the ‘V-Top Leader Honor Certification Plaque’ and a one-year free pass to a public parking lot.
Seventy-nine outstanding volunteers will be awarded the ‘V-Excellent Leader Honor Certificate’ and a 50% discount on public parking fees for one year.

The event will also feature a commemorative ceremony where participants write and display their thoughts and commitments on the theme ‘Volunteering as I See It,’ along with side events to encourage and appreciate the efforts of volunteers.
