Seongdong-gu, Seongsu Culture and Arts Yard User Recruitment
Applications for Use of the Former Sampyo Site Seongsu Culture and Arts Yard Performance Venue Until the 22nd for the First Half of 2024... Compliance with Noise and Light Pollution Regulations Required, Results Notified After January 15, 2024
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) is recruiting users for the Seongsu Culture and Arts Yard performance venue site, located on the former Sampyo site, until the 22nd of this month.
Opened in early October, the Seongsu Culture and Arts Yard consists of a performance venue site (7,507㎡) capable of accommodating indoor and outdoor stages on the Sampyo site, which was a ready-mixed concrete factory for 45 years, a public parking lot with 239 spaces, and a lawn yard.
This space is planned to be temporarily used for about two years before the full-scale development of the Sampyo site and can host various genres of performances and exhibitions as a large-scale cultural and leisure space rarely seen in the city center. Only the performance venue site is provided, and applicants must create the performance venue according to their purpose, strictly complying with laws and regulations related to noise and light pollution. However, general commemorative events that are excessively promotional or lack artistic value may be excluded from the review.
Those who wish to apply can refer to the Seongdong-gu Office website and submit their applications by mail or email by the 22nd of this month. The usage period is from January 22, 2024, to June 30, 2024, and the usage fee will be determined based on the area used and the number of days. After the application deadline, the district will conduct a venue review and notify applicants individually of the results after January 15, 2024. For more details, please contact the Seongdong-gu Culture and Sports Division.
