Kim Dong-yeon Meets 'YouTuber': "Gyeonggi-do Will Become a Paradise for One-Person Media"
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon is attending the 'Global Creator Festa' which opened on the 16th and is taking a commemorative photo with a famous YouTuber production team.

On the 16th, Governor Kim attended the opening of the 'Global Creator Festa' held at the Suwon Convention Center and said, "One of my dreams is for all Gyeonggi residents, especially young people, to find what they want to do, do what they desire, and live happily and joyfully." He emphasized, "I am glad that you (creators) are working hard to find and enjoy what you want to do. Gyeonggi Province will do its best to provide even a small amount of support for your work."
The Global Creator Festa, held until the 17th, is an event hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Content Agency, with over 130 domestic and international creator teams, including famous YouTubers, participating at the Suwon Convention Center.
On the day, Governor Kim participated in producing a short-form (short video content) interview with Kim Miso, a Moroccan-born YouTuber with 1.3 million subscribers who promotes the Korean Wave, and Jisik-in Minani, a YouTuber with 200,000 subscribers specializing in scientific knowledge and information.
In response to the growth of the YouTube market, Gyeonggi Province has been promoting projects to discover and showcase outstanding creators since 2017.
Through nurturing projects such as academies and production support, a total of 2,618 creators have been trained from 2017 to 2023. Famous creators nurtured by Gyeonggi Province include Janna Korea (2.14 million subscribers) and Joanna (1.78 million subscribers).

The Gyeonggi Province creator nurturing project consists of the 'Academy,' which offers customized educational courses such as introductory, short-term, and practical training, and 'Production Support,' which selects creators in their growth phase and provides capacity-building programs including production funding, consulting, seminars, and collaboration support.
