Cho Kuk: "Kim Geon-hee Should Reveal Dior Bag... Special Prosecutor to Be Pursued if Refused"
Professor Lee Sujeong of Kyonggi University Also Criticizes
Former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk referred to First Lady Kim Keon-hee as "Jungjeonmama" and demanded, "Reveal the Dior bag stored in the presidential office's gift storage."
On the 16th, Cho posted on his Facebook, "Even major media cannot defend 'Jungjeonmama's' Dior bag, yet the People Power Party's first recruited talent is shielding her with blood." The "first recruited talent" mentioned by Cho appears to refer to Professor Lee Soo-jung of Kyonggi University.
Earlier, on the 14th, Professor Lee appeared on JTBC's YouTube channel 'Jangreuman Yeouido' and, when asked, "Do you support the special investigation law on Kim Keon-hee?" she responded by asking, "Has it been verified whether the luxury bag is authentic?" and added, "It could be fake." When a panelist said, "Isn't the act of receiving it itself a problem?" Professor Lee replied, "Receiving it itself is a problem," but also said, "The person who delivered and entrusted it is also a problem. The one who planned and set the trap is a bad person. The one who even recorded it on video is an even worse person."
Former Minister Cho said, "There is a simple way for Jungjeonmama to prove her innocence," adding, "As someone with experience working at the Blue House, I have never heard of a 'gift storage' in the presidential office, but reveal the Dior bag said to be in the storage. Whether it is fake can be immediately confirmed."
He also demanded, "Reveal other gifts stored in the storage." He urged, "Disclose the ledger recording the dates when the gifts were received and when they were placed in the storage." Cho further asserted, "If the above is not voluntarily done, the Democratic Party should add the Dior bag case to the special investigation law on Kim Keon-hee and pass it with amendments in the plenary session."
