Contributing to Housing Stability for Low-Income Homeless and Welfare for Working-Class Housing

Choi Gap-ryeol, chairman of Samil Construction, was recognized for his contributions to housing stability for low-income households without homes and to housing welfare for the common people.

According to Samil Construction on the 16th, Chairman Choi received the Industrial Medal at the Housing Construction Day event held on the 14th.

The Industrial Medal is awarded to those who have made clear contributions by striving for the development or advancement of industry or by diligently working to reduce unemployment, or to workers employed at factories, workplaces, or other job sites who have made clear contributions to national development through their dedicated efforts.

Unlike existing rental apartments, Samil Construction has adopted the slogan of creating the highest quality residential environment. Starting with the supply of 340 private public rental apartment units in Bangchuk-dong, Asan in 2017, the company was recognized for supplying 5,000 units of high-quality multi-family housing.

Additionally, the company is committed to transparent accounting management and faithful tax payment. By establishing the Samil Paraview Cultural Scholarship Foundation, it actively engages in various donation activities, including donating scholarships for nurturing local talent, and in 2019, it received the 'Beautiful Taxpayer Award.'

Chairman Choi Gap-ryeol stated, “Although a global rise in interest rates and material costs is expected to deteriorate the quantity and quality of housing welfare, continuous supply of rental apartments is necessary for the housing welfare of homeless low-income people.” He added, “Starting with the 406 units of Pocheon Samil Paraview currently under construction in Pocheon, we plan to supply 2,000 housing units next year.”

He also said, “This award is the result of the creative and dedicated efforts of our executives and employees, and I am receiving it on their behalf,” adding, “We will contribute to the development of Korea’s housing industry.”
