Kakao External Oversight Body 'Compliance and Trust Committee' Holds First Meeting on 18th
Kakao's external oversight body, the 'Compliance and Trust Committee (Junshinwi),' will hold its first meeting on the 18th.
The Kakao Junshinwi will hold its first meeting on the afternoon of the 18th at its office located in the EG Building in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Junshinwi is an independent organization launched to reform Kakao's compliance monitoring and internal control system. It holds strong authority, including the urgent suspension request right over key decision-making bodies within the group. It is composed of seven members, including Chairperson Kim So-young (former Supreme Court Justice).
All Junshinwi members, including Chairperson Kim, will attend the first meeting. Since this is the first meeting following the inauguration ceremony held last month, it is expected to be in a kickoff format. Kim Beom-su, Kakao's founder and chairman of the management reform committee, and Jeong Shin-ah, recently appointed CEO of Kakao and CEO of Kakao Ventures, will not attend.
