The Institute of Medical Science Civilization will strive to maximize the capabilities of medical institutions and nurture next-generation leaders with a balanced perspective. The central administrative organization of the Institute of Medical Science Civilization is composed of the ▲Transition Planning Team ▲Global Public Cooperation Team ▲Education Planning Team.

Professor Woo Jeong-taek of the Department of Endocrinology at Kyung Hee University Hospital was appointed as the inaugural director of the Institute of Medical Science Civilization. Director Woo stated, "As the concept of One Health has recently gained attention, human health is closely related to environmental health. While we gain many benefits from the advancement of medical science, it also brings side effects to society, so we must consider and implement more effective measures together to improve human health."

Director Woo continued, "The goal of medical science is to pursue better methods for disease prevention and treatment for the health of humanity. Likewise, the Institute of Medical Science Civilization will view matters from a multidisciplinary perspective centered on doctors and medical institutions, establish excellence, and strive to realize Kyung Hee’s core value of creating a true cultural world for humanity."

Meanwhile, Director Woo graduated from Kyung Hee University College of Medicine and earned his master's and doctoral degrees from the same graduate school.
