On the morning of the 15th, a carbon dioxide (CO2) leak occurred at Bokjeong Station on the Seoul subway, injuring five workers who were on-site during construction. They were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
On the morning of the 15th, a carbon dioxide (CO2) release accident occurred in the substation room near the ticket gate of Bokjeong Station on Seoul Subway Line 8, where a gas mask is placed.

According to Songpa Fire Station and Yonhap News, at 9:33 a.m. that day, while working on a waterproof wall on the second basement floor electrical room of Bokjeong Station, wiring for the gas extinguishing system detection facility was damaged.
The fire department deployed 24 pieces of equipment and 84 personnel to manage the accident site. The situation was resolved about an hour after the incident, at 10:38 a.m.
Due to the accident, five workers on-site complained of headaches and decreased consciousness and were transported to the hospital. Fortunately, their lives are not in danger.
Seoul Metro operated Line 8 trains in both directions without stopping from 9:30 a.m. due to the incident. Train operations resumed at 10:26 a.m.
