Final Selection of 14 Companies
Opportunities Provided for Participation in US Events and Visits to OpenAI
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) announced that it held the K-Startup and OpenAI Matching Day, a matching event between OpenAI and domestic startups, over two days on the 14th and 15th at the Swiss Grand Hotel in Seoul.
This event was held to revitalize the domestic AI business ecosystem through collaboration between OpenAI and domestic startups. After a domestic preliminary event, the final OpenAI collaboration startups will be selected through the main event to be held in the United States in the first half of next year.

View original imageThe Ministry of SMEs and Startups conducted an open recruitment for two weeks last month to select OpenAI collaboration startups. A total of 220 companies applied for the final selection of 14 companies, recording a high competition rate of 15.7 to 1.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will provide the 14 startups advancing to the finals with opportunities such as visiting OpenAI headquarters in Silicon Valley, USA, and developer meetings next year. For startups selected as final collaboration companies, it plans to support commercialization funds for collaboration projects. OpenAI will support AI-related services such as priority provision of 'API credits' for generative AI models and one-on-one technical mentoring to the final collaboration companies.
