Oh Shin-hwan "In Yo-han poured energy for 6 weeks... Doubtful if he will be the emergency committee chairman"
As Kim Ki-hyun, the leader of the People Power Party, resigned and the party transitioned to an emergency response committee system, former People Power Party Innovation Committee Chairman In Yo-han has been mentioned as one of the candidates for the new emergency response committee chairman. However, former Innovation Committee member Oh Shin-hwan said, "I am not sure if he will be able to engage in party activities after pouring his energy for six weeks."
On MBC's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus,' when asked by the host whether former Innovation Committee Chairman In would accept the proposal immediately if it were made, Oh said, "As far as I know, former Innovation Committee Chairman In clearly declared that he would end his activities with the Innovation Committee and return to his main job while working on the Innovation Committee."
The People Power Party transitioned to an emergency response committee system the day before, and candidates for the new emergency response committee chairman include Kim Han-gil, Chairman of the National Integration Committee; former Innovation Committee Chairman In; Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon; Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong; People Power Party lawmaker Kwon Young-se; and former lawmaker Na Kyung-won. However, former Innovation Committee member Oh said, "I do not know what demands the party might have, but Chairman In has experienced intense processes within this party structure that he had never experienced before, so I am not sure how he will judge it."
He explained that since the Innovation Committee process was difficult, he is unlikely to take the position of emergency response committee chairman. He said, "Since all Innovation Committee activities inevitably had to be conducted in opposition to the party leadership and those with vested interests, there is bound to be psychological burden."

In response to the host's question about whether 'running in difficult constituencies' should continue following the resignation of Kim, a key pro-Yoon figure, and the non-candidacy of People Power Party lawmaker Jang Je-won, Oh said, "Beyond specific individuals declaring non-candidacy or running in difficult constituencies, I believe that based on the sacrifices of those two individuals, the party must undergo further change and innovation." He added, "If the party does not present visions that meet the public's expectations regarding the general election system and fails to provide trust as an alternative, those sacrifices will be meaningless."
