According to Yes24's data, 86.7% of the pre-order buyers were in their 20s and 30s, showing an overwhelmingly high proportion, and the gender ratio was 3:7, with a higher percentage of women. Over 70 one-line book reviews were posted in just one day, revealing the characteristics of 'fandom purchases.'

South Korea's representative trend forecast book 'Trend Korea 2024' ranked fourth, and the new release of the popular children's comic book series humorously depicting the daily life of the YouTube creators 'Heunhan Nam-mae' with 2.65 million subscribers, 'Heunhan Nam-mae 15,' entered the chart immediately at fifth place.
Additionally, new releases by well-known authors such as journalists and entrepreneurs attracted attention by entering the bestseller rankings in large numbers. In the social and political category, MBC reporter Lee Ki-joo's media critique essay 'Reporter’s Regret' ranked tenth, and '7 Korean Education Keywords That Will Change Our Children's Future,' delivered by editor-in-chief Bang Jong-im, an education specialist journalist who captivated 400,000 subscribers with the YouTube channel 'Education Reporter TV,' took twentieth place by addressing recent key issues in education. In the self-development category, Kelly Choi, a bestselling author of 'Well Thinking' and a unique entrepreneur, ranked nineteenth with her new work 'The Miracle of 100 Days Morning Habit.'
At Kyobo Bookstore, Kang Yong-soo’s 'Reading Schopenhauer at Forty' held the number one spot for four consecutive weeks. 'Trend Korea 2024' followed, and popular YouTuber Song Min-seop’s 'I Drink Starbucks Coffee for Free Every Day Through Dividend Investing' entered the comprehensive chart at third place upon release.
Books selected as this year’s picks gained renewed attention toward the end of the year, showing noticeable upward trends. 'Seino's Teachings,' which ranked first in the annual bestseller list this year, rose seven places to sixth overall. Gary Keller’s 'The One Thing,' ranked second in the annual bestseller list, climbed 19 places to 30th overall, and 'The Contrarian,' ranked third annually, rose six places to 23rd overall.
