Gwangjin-gu Gosarison's Love Piggy Bank... Sharing Warmth Increases
On the 14th, the '2023 Gwangjin-gu Childcare Workers' Day' was celebrated with a coin collection event by children from public, private, and home daycare centers... A heartfelt donation of 31.7 million KRW was given to Gwangjin Welfare Foundation and World Vision
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the "Love Coin Collection" event on the 14th at the district office auditorium.
Organized by the Gwangjin-gu Daycare Association and the Childcare Comprehensive Support Center, this event was prepared to foster a culture of donation that shows interest and love for neighbors and to commemorate the "2023 Gwangjin-gu Childcare Workers' Day," encouraging the hard work of childcare workers while reflecting on the past year.
The event opened with adorable rhythmic movements and a choir performance by representatives of daycare children who participated in practicing a culture of sharing.
During the subsequent "Love Piggy Bank Event," the savings collected over one year by children from public, private, and home daycare centers, along with 31.7 million KRW raised from a toy-sharing flea market held with the Gwangjin-gu Daycare Association, were donated to the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation and World Vision.
Additionally, the district presented certificates of appreciation to 10 daycare center directors and childcare teachers who contributed to the development of childcare, expressing gratitude and encouragement.
