Suncheon City Labor-Management-Government Council Takes Action to Overcome Economic Crisis
Adoption of Joint Declaration by Council, Win-Win Cooperation Job Agreement
On the 14th, Suncheon City in Jeollanam-do announced that it held the '2023 Suncheon City Labor-Management-Civil-Government Council' at the Suncheon Chamber of Commerce Chamber Lounge, with about 20 members of the council and working-level committee, including labor groups, employer organizations, and civic groups, in attendance.
At the council meeting, starting with a report on the major achievements of 2023, a joint declaration for a fair wage system and a safe industrial environment was adopted by labor, management, civil, and government representatives, and an agreement was signed to realize the Suncheon City win-win cooperation job model.
The joint declaration included contents such as ▲ cooperation on establishing a job- and performance-centered wage system ▲ cooperation to create a society and corporate environment where workers are respected, and the agreement included ▲ formation of a preparatory team for a job corporation ▲ implementation of internal win-win agreement unit prices in the magnesium industry.
Roh Gwan-gyu, Mayor of Suncheon City, said, “Everyone is facing difficulties due to the worsening economic conditions and rapid changes in the labor environment,” adding, “At times like this, labor, management, civil, and government must unite their efforts to overcome the economic crisis and create a first-class Suncheon that is a good place to live.”
