Gyeonggi Shinbo Selected as Community Contribution Recognized Institution for 3 Consecutive Years... Minister of Health and Welfare Award
The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation has been recognized for its achievements in actively practicing ESG management (environmental, social responsibility, and transparent management), contributing to the spread of social value within the province.
On the 14th, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation announced that it recently received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the ‘2023 Community Contribution Recognition Program,’ jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare.
The Community Contribution Recognition Program, introduced in 2019, is a system that discovers institutions that have demonstrated excellent ESG activities through cooperation and harmony with various stakeholders based in local communities and acknowledges their contributions.
In 2021, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation was the first among nationwide regional credit guarantee foundations and public institutions under Gyeonggi Province to be selected as a recognized institution for community contribution.
Notably, this year, it achieved the highest grade and became the first public institution under Gyeonggi Province to receive the Minister of Health and Welfare Award, which is given to outstanding institutions recognized by the Community Contribution Recognition Program.
Following the vision of the 8th Gyeonggi Province administration, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation has promoted multifaceted community contribution activities. Employees of the foundation actively participated in eco-friendly activities to practice carbon neutrality, including non-face-to-face step donations, clothing donations, and collaborative campaigns with related organizations such as the Gyeonggi Bada Hamkkehae (海) Campaign and the Gyeonggi Province Tantandaero Joint Campaign.
Additionally, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation strengthened face-to-face volunteer activities, which had been reduced due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, by actively identifying and supporting marginalized neighbors in the community. Each business headquarters conducted regular social contribution activities through one-on-one sisterhood partnerships with welfare institutions within their jurisdiction.
