Busan Superintendent of Education Cup National Student Aerobics and Hip-Hop Competition Held
30 Students from 8 Schools in National Aerobics, 44 Teams in Hip-Hop and K-Pop Participate
The Busan Superintendent of Education Cup National Student Aerobics and Hip-hop Competition will take place.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoon-su) announced on the 14th that the Busan Superintendent of Education Cup Student Sports Club Aerobics Hip-hop and National Student Sports Club Hip-hop Competition will be held at 9 a.m. on the 15th at the 1st Gymnasium of Busan National University of Education.
Aerobics is a representative aerobic exercise that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy, helping to develop cardiopulmonary endurance, agility, and flexibility suitable for one's fitness level. It is also an exercise that fosters mutual trust, a spirit of challenge, and teamwork through group performances.
Aerobics is known to be effective in providing artistic enjoyment and improving physical and mental health through exciting music and powerful choreography. Recently, with the enthusiasm for K-POP combined with hip-hop (HIPHOP), it has established itself as a more popular sport.
This competition is hosted by the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and organized by the Korea Aerobics Hip-hop Association and the Busan Aerobics Hip-hop Association.
Students participating include 30 from 8 schools in aerobics and 238 students from 44 teams in HIP HOP and K-POP from elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, who will showcase their skills honed under the sports spirit of fairness, cooperation, and challenge.

Gwak Jeong-rok, Director of Character Education, Physical Education, and School Meals at the Busan Office of Education, said, “This competition will be a festival of communication and harmony with athletes from other regions through fair sportsmanship,” adding, “We hope it will serve as a foundation for improving athletes’ performance, discovering promising talents, and expanding the base of aerobics and hip-hop.”
