Stock Market Open Until the 28th This Year... Opening at 10 AM on the 2nd Next Year
The domestic securities and derivatives markets will operate until the 28th of this month. The opening day for next year is January 2nd, and the regular trading hours for the securities market will start from 10 a.m.
On the 14th, the Korea Exchange announced this through a press release titled "2023 Year-End Market Operation Schedule and 2024 Early Year Opening Day Trading Hours."
The ex-dividend date for listed companies with a fiscal year-end dividend record date set at the end of December is on the 27th. If stocks are purchased by December 26th, dividends from listed companies with a fiscal year-end dividend record date set at the end of December can be received.
December 29th has been designated as a year-end holiday. Accordingly, the closing day for this year is the 28th. However, over-the-counter derivatives CCP clearing and TR reporting operations will continue normally without a year-end holiday.
