OCI announced on the 13th that it will invest 110.5188 billion KRW in its Malaysian subsidiary, 'Sarawak Advanced Materials (tentative name)'. After the investment, OCI's stake will be 50%.

OCI stated, "We plan to proactively respond to the increasing demand for polysilicon for semiconductors due to the growth of the global semiconductor market and secure market demand ahead of others," adding, "We will establish a production base through investment in a joint venture in Malaysia that has cost competitiveness and production competitiveness."
