Kim Hyung-mi, a member of the Seo-gu Council in Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 13th that the 'Ordinance on the Installation and Operation of the Service Project Deliberation Committee' was passed at the relevant standing committee.
This ordinance was prepared with the purpose of promoting academic research service projects fairly and transparently, and enhancing the efficiency and quality of academic research services through systematic management.
The main contents include ▲defining the scope of academic research services and establishing the subjects for review ▲introducing a conflict of interest prevention system for the deliberation committee ▲establishing a system for the efficient utilization of service results.
Councilor Kim said, "With the enactment of this ordinance, indiscriminate service projects that have been carried out will be curbed through prior review of the necessity and validity of academic research services and post-management of the service results."
