View original imageThe 2023 Santa Barista Hope Fund was created by combining donations from Starbucks employees collected through this year’s Hope Delivery campaign, funds raised at the Community Store branches 1 and 2?profit-sharing stores dedicated to nurturing young talent?and sponsorship funds for cultural and artistic talents.
Since 2006, Starbucks has been running the Santa Barista Hope Fund campaign annually at the end of the year in partnership with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, allocating a portion of store profits to the fund. The fund is used to support underprivileged children and youth nationwide. Over 18 years, Starbucks has donated a cumulative total of approximately 7.2 billion KRW through this hope fund.
Alongside the delivery ceremony, Starbucks set up a booth in the outdoor space of the Starbucks Byeoldabang branch to conduct fundraising activities for the Santa Barista fund. Customers who donate 5,000 KRW or more will receive a tumbler on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, since 2013, Starbucks has placed regular sponsorship postcards in stores in collaboration with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation to encourage customers to participate in supporting underprivileged children. The cumulative number of sponsors has reached 6,562, and the total amount supported through these sponsors has reached 1.18 billion KRW.
