National Gwangju Science Museum, Youth Public Relations Communication Group 'Luchesta' Closing Ceremony
The National Gwangju Science Museum recently announced on the 11th that it held the closing ceremony of the 7th Youth Public Relations Communication Group ‘Luchesta’ at the Sang-sang Hall in its building.
The 7th Luchesta was selected in May from 100 outstanding elementary, middle, and high school students, and over a total of eight months until this month, they participated in major exhibitions, education programs, and events at the science museum, as well as promotional activities through YouTube and blogs.
The closing ceremony was held with Luchesta members and their parents in attendance, proceeding in the order of presentations on this year’s activities, awarding contest winners, recognizing outstanding members, and a student representative’s remarks on their experience.
This year, the awards for outstanding members included the Minister of Science and ICT Award (1 person), the Mayor of Gwangju Award (1 person), and the Director of the National Gwangju Science Museum Award (10 people).
Lee Dohyun (Manho Elementary School), the recipient of the Minister of Science and ICT Award, shared that through Luchesta activities, he nurtured his dream of becoming a scientist and was able to enjoy studying science even more.
Oh Donghyun (Gwangju Science High School), who received a plaque of appreciation for his activities, said that over the past four years of participation, he felt immersed in science and found great fulfillment in conveying profound and deep scientific content to the public in a friendly manner.
