6 Graduates from Gyeongju Girls' Information High School Hold Graduation Ceremony Locally in Sydney for Australian Employment
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) held a "Visiting Overseas Local Graduation Ceremony" on the 9th in Sydney, Australia, for six students from Gyeongju Girls' Information High School who found employment in Australia.
The graduation ceremony held at West Ryde Community Hall in Sydney was attended by graduates of Gyeongju Girls' Information High School, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education inspection team, the school principal, on-site training companies, language education institutions, homestay representatives, and global employment alumni to celebrate the occasion.

View original imageKim Si-yoon, a student from the Early Childhood Education Department of Gyeongju Girls' Information High School who attended the Sydney graduation ceremony, said, "Through global employment, I obtained Certificate III (Australian childcare worker qualification) in Australia and participated in on-site training, gaining confidence in language skills and overseas life. This motivation and confidence have made me want to build my career and settle at a childcare center in Sydney."
Lee Ye-jin, a 2016 graduate who settled in Sydney through global employment and attended the ceremony to encourage juniors, said, "By participating in the pre-departure program and Australia's global employment (12 weeks) course, I overcame fears about language and overseas life and gained confidence in overseas employment. I hope juniors also run toward their goals to demonstrate their abilities abroad and achieve their dreams."
In particular, when a global employment dispatched student spoke about the "Best moments in Australia, Working and living in Australia" at the graduation ceremony, representatives from companies responded, "We will support and encourage students who strive to adapt in a foreign country in various ways."
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education has dispatched 1,209 people to more than 10 countries since 2010 and boasts the largest number of dispatches and the highest overseas employment rate in national vocational high school global employment.
