Icheon City Health Center New Building to Begin Operations on the 18th
New Building Next to City Hall, Basement 1 to 3 Floors Above Ground
Gyeonggi-do Icheon City announced on the 10th that the new Icheon City Health Center building will begin operations starting from the 18th.
The new health center building, which replaces the existing facility in Jungpo-dong, was constructed on a 9,075㎡ site at 30-45 Buak-ro next to the city hall. It is a building with one basement floor and three above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 6,977㎡. The city broke ground in August 2021 and held the completion ceremony on the 8th, after two years and four months of construction.

The new health center features a specialized project room for citizen health programs on the basement floor. The first floor includes a Baby Cafe for maternal and newborn health services, medical and vaccination spaces, a dementia relief center, and a screening clinic. The second floor houses a physical therapy room, mental health welfare center, chronic disease management room, and cooking practice room. The third floor contains offices, a large conference room, and an employee cafeteria.

An official from the Icheon City Health Center stated, "With the completion of the new building, we will strive to become a health center that works closely with local residents through various programs that were not possible in the previous facility."
