Fingerprint Access System, Study Rooms, Lockers, etc. Enhance Learning Efficiency
Opening Ceremony on 12-13th, Official Reopening on 15th
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will officially reopen two youth study rooms as study cafes on the 15th.
The youth study rooms at Cheongpa (Cheongparo 49-gil 6, 4th floor) and Hangang (Hangang-daero 38-gil 28, 3rd floor) are the ones being transformed.
The old youth study rooms were renovated to provide a safe and comfortable space for young people to study.
In particular, opinions from local youth were reflected from the design stage. Considering the needs revealed from the 2021 youth survey project, the study rooms were arranged into various learning spaces. During the temporary operation period from the 2nd to the 10th, the facilities are free of charge to collect feedback from youth on areas for improvement.
Both Cheongpa and Hangang youth study rooms are equipped with ▲ fingerprint recognition access systems ▲ individual study seats ▲ group desks ▲ wheelchair-friendly seats ▲ study rooms ▲ rest areas ▲ personal lockers.
Cheongpa youth study room has 43 seats, and Hangang youth study room has 67 seats. The larger Hangang study room offers ▲ window seats ▲ high desk seats to expand seating options.
Efforts were also made to ensure safety using smart systems. When youth enter, a notification function informs parents of their entry. Dedicated staff conduct regular facility inspections.
Emergency bells are installed at wheelchair-friendly seats so that assistance can be requested from staff if needed.
Usage fees range from 500 to 2,000 KRW for youth and 1,000 to 5,000 KRW for adults, with flexible options for ▲ hourly passes ▲ daily passes. A monthly subscription costs 50,000 KRW for youth and 120,000 KRW for adults. Youth from vulnerable groups (recipients of national basic livelihood security, children under foster care, etc.) are exempt from fees.
The youth study rooms operate six days a week (closed on Mondays and public holidays) from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
